Psalms ◦ Chapter 99
1The Lord reigns in love and truth,
let the selfish world tremble;
he sits enthroned above the winged angels,
let all the selfish people be shaken.2The Lord is great in Zion;
he is supreme over all people.3Let everyone praise your great and awesome character of love, O God,
which is perfection and holiness.4Mighty King, you love healing your creation — putting things right;
you have established life to operate upon your design of love.
What you have done in Israel, revealing your remedy,
is completely right and just. 5Praise the Lord our Creator;
bow down in worship before his throne,
for he is perfection and holiness.6Moses and Aaron were his priests — his helpers to share the remedy,
Samuel called for the Lord to reveal his character;
they called for the Lord to act
and he answered them. 7He spoke his plan to them from the pillar of cloud;
they followed his directions and trusted his prescription. 8O Lord our Creator,
you answered them;
you were a forgiving God to your people,
working with them to purge all deviations from your design for life. 9Praise the Lord our Creator
and worship at his holy mountain,
for the Lord is perfection and holiness.
