Psalms ◦ Chapter 87

1The Lord founded his plan of salvation
in the hills set apart for his sanctuary.

2He loves the gates that lead to the restoration and healing of his children
more than any other place in the world.

3Glorious things are told about you,
O city of our Creator God:

4"I will include Egypt and Babylon among those who know me;
also people from Philistia, Tyre and Ethiopia
have been reborn to become citizens of Zion."

5Of the New Jerusalem it will be said,
"These were reborn to become her citizens,"
and the Creator God himself will establish her.

6The Lord will record the individualities of the saved
in his heavenly registry, noting,
"This one was reborn to live there."

7Songs from those who are reborn will say,
"Life is found only in you."
