Effective Communication
Writer Charles Swindoll once found himself with too many commitments in too few days. He got nervous and tense about it. “I was snapping at my wife and our children, choking down my food at mealtimes, and feeling irritated at those unexpected interruptions through the day,” he recalled in his book Stress Fractures. “Before long, things around our home started reflecting the patter of my hurry-up style. It was becoming unbearable.

Salvation & Sanctification
The following is a short exchange with one of our online listeners: Nelson: I just listened to 2012 Q3 Lesson 4 and I’m a little confused about your last statement before the prayer. You mentioned that Peter wasn’t saved until he died to self (I’m paraphrasing). I’ve always thought that salvation comes from accepting (believing) Christ as your Savior (John 3:16) and that sanctification is the process of dying to self and becoming more like Christ. Can you explain to me a little more what salvation is?

Biblical Justice: What Is It?
On September 20, 2001, just nine days after terrorists attacked the United States in four hijacked passenger jets, President George W. Bush addressed a joint session of congress. In that speech President Bush stated, “Whether we bring our enemies to justice or bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done.”

The Gospel for Today
God is love. When God built His universe, He constructed it to operate in harmony with His nature and character. The construction protocol upon which the universe is built is commonly known as God’s law. The Bible tells us that this law is the “law of love,” which is not a feeling, but the principle of other-centeredness, giving or beneficence that life is designed by God to operate upon. (Rom 13:10, James 2:8, 1 Cor 13:5)

Righteousness: A Real Change of Heart
This week in my devotional I came across the following quotation from one of the founders of my church: Christ came to manifest the love of God to the world, to draw the hearts of all men to Himself. He said, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me” (John 12:32).

Reaching a Wayward Child
Would you be kind and provide information on the topic of how to reach my one and only son, who is lost and still in the ”PIG PEN” like a prodigal son but does not make an effort or has the will to change his life. He does not appear to have vision for his life or willingness to listen to any advise.
