Fear Not the New Year

Fear Not the New Year

As you look forward to the New Year what comes to mind? Are you excited? Are you making big plans? Or are you afraid, apprehensive and uncertain? As you anticipate the New Year how do you see the future unfolding?

Do you find world events such as global warming, over population, drought, famine, war, nuclear proliferation, terrorism, extinction of species after species, deforestation, break down of families, school shootings, mall shootings, ethnic cleansing, and increasing national debt, encouraging?  When you look to the future what do you see? Are you excited and hopeful or uncertain and afraid?

Jesus didn’t leave us to fear and doubt, but told us what to expect in order for us to be prepared. He said, “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but don’t be afraid. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, earthquakes and pestilence in various places… On the earth, nations will be in anguish and confusion over the rising of the sea. Men will be overwhelmed with fear and anxiety about the future of the world…All these are the beginning of birth pains. So when these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Matthew 24:6-8 Luke 21:11, 25-28.

Consider a woman going into labor, how does it start? In the beginning of labor, are the pains most frequent and intense or does the pain increase in frequency and intensity as labor progresses? But even though, as labor progresses, the pain increases, the expectant mother isn’t afraid because she knows labor culminates with delivery which ends the pain and brings much joy. Can we expect the future events of the world to be similar? Can we expect that the rapidity and intensity of painful and devastating world events to increase as time moves forward? And can we also expect that it will end with delivery for the people of God, which will end the pain and bring much joy?

But consider for a moment a woman going through labor having no idea she is pregnant, would the birth experience be much more terrifying? Does knowing what is happening and what waits at the end of the painful ordeal make bearing the labor easier? Imagine what the future will be like for those who don’t know what is actually happening, for those who don’t know the truth about God as revealed by Jesus? It will be a terrifying time.

But God doesn’t want anyone to go through this painful time unaware. He doesn’t want anyone to be afraid. He doesn’t want anyone to be lost. Thus He patiently waits, holding back the four winds of strife, giving us opportunity to be healed, to be changed, to be transformed by His healing power to be ready to meet Him when He comes.

Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14. God is eager to deliver us from the pain, to deliver us from this world of sin, sickness and death. But God is waiting for us to take the Good News about Him to the world.

This year, may we all commit ourselves to spreading the truth about God around the world, and when we see the labor pains increasing, we won’t need to be afraid, but rejoice because our deliverance is drawing near!

Happy 2008!

I cannot thank you enough for opening my understanding to the beautiful truth of God’s Law of Love and how it applies to everything. I have been a Christian for over forty years, but I feel like I am only now seeing with my eyes open. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!

I Love This Ministry!!!!!!! I see first hand how this message is desperately needed, how erroneous beliefs about God and His Character negatively affect humanity at every level. I thank God for your ministry, as I was searching on my own and was discovering some of your same beliefs and was blown away when I found your ministry. I know you hear it all the time, but it is truly life changing. May God continue to reveal His Will to you and Bless you!

God lead me to your book “The God-Shaped Brain” while I was searching for another book about the brain and then to your interview about your book on HeartWise Ministries [where] I found out about [Come And Reason Ministries]. I’m now devouring the webcasts of your Bible studies. I have been so greatly blessed and I thank God so much for your courage to speak the Truth in love no matter what. Listening to you contrast the two opposing systems (laws) and digging deep to unearth the hidden treasures in the Bible makes me so incredibly happy and I feel very blessed to be part of your Bible Study Group although I live far away. I am just so excited that there is a group of people that is spreading the Truth about the character of God and it saddens me how few realize what our Father in Heaven is really like.

Since November 2015, when I started studying Gods word from this God Is Love point of view, my life has been transformed. My troubled marriage of 15 years has been healed and my husband and I are truly happy for the first time in 15 years. Now When I read the word of God I understand it so much better and I can’t help but see Gods love radiating through the pages to humanity. Gods word is living and active and I am blessed beyond measure to be having this amazing experience. God has given me a beautiful understanding of Jn 3:16 that amazes me more and more each day. Thank you again for your ministry.

Thank you so much for everything you do! Because of all these truths, I’m excited to be with Jesus! I always pray everyday, “COME TODAY, JESUS.” Before finding C&R, I was always praying for delays, “NOT TODAY OH GOD. I AM NOT READY.” I just need to share more, talk more bout this truth, so everybody will be excited for Jesus.

Testimony 42

I am just writing to say that I have been so blessed by the teachings of Come And Reason Minitries recently. I watched last week’s bible study lesson on Youtube and am thankful that the error in the printed lesson guide you use was pointed out and this week’s study was of equal benefit, if not more so. My understanding of God’s nature has been very confused of late and I am so grateful for clarity in this matter. I have never really fully understood previously how a good God can cause bad things to happen and now I realise that He doesn’t, it’s a natural consequence of sin. May the almighty Father and His Son, our Saviour Jesus Christ, continue to bless your ministry.

Your message of design law vs imperial law is so uplifting and makes so much sense- it is a game changer for me. The fact that Jesus’s death is not a big payment by an angry God is , quite frankly, a relief.

Testimony 65

I have been tuning into your weekly study classes for a while now and wanted express my appreciation for the teachings that ha been a huge blessing in opening up the true message of the word. Viewing scripture under an imposed law theory always, without fail, raised more questions, concerns, and conflicting scripture interpretations that were discouraging at the very least. Looking at scripture through the design law lens has brought more truth to light for me personally and an understanding of our Heavenly Father that places Him “above all others,” where I am now more than thrilled to witness and serve Him.  I “stumbled” across this ministry a year or so ago and would only watch a few minutes at a time. But the more I listened and the longer I paid attention, the more my spiritual eyes were opened to the ever present truths of scripture. The comprehension of the great controversy and it’s origin by the lies perpetrated and perpetuated throughout the Bible on the attack of God’s character and government is truly priceless. Keep up the Good Work! Your servanthood is desperately needed in such a time as this!

We listen to your bible studies lessons in our class in Montana. You actually were the main reason I decided to get a laptop, so I can go to your site and listen, read, learn, and print the class notes. I am so grateful to learn the correct view of God and his character. Now, to just have others have an interest in knowing, so I can share it with them. Good thoughts your way.

I have been watching your videos in The Power of Love seminar and I must say these have liberated me and have improved my relationship with the Lord. I am no longer terrified of him as I was before following your teachings.

Testimony 29

Thank you for all of your work to correct misconceptions about God’s character. So many people that my husband and I have talked to seem to be against the natural law construct and view it as “errant” and “dangerous.” Having learned more about it through your blogs and lessons, I don’t really understand why they view it that way, except that it means they have to relearn theology they have known for their entire lives. But I’m so excited to relearn this. For the past few years I have been questioning how I could trust a God who punishes arbitrarily and is full of wrath for those who don’t obey His commands. That view made me afraid to “mess up” or “not be good enough,” even within my relationship with God. I really appreciated the point you bring out about God not wanting us to serve Him because we are afraid, but because we love Him.
