I make a batch of this as a dressing almost every week. Raw cashews give it dairy free creaminess. When making as a dip, note that it will thicken after refrigeration. The dip also makes a great sandwich spread.
Equipment:
Blender
Ingredients:
1 cup raw cashews
1 1/4 cup water
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup nutritional yeast
1/4 cup flax seed oil (or olive oil)
1/4 cup tahini (sesame puree)
2 Tbsp tamari (optional)
1 Tbsp honey
1 tsp basil
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Blend in a blender until creamy.
Note: For dressing, add 3/4 cup water and 2 garlic cloves.
