For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible (Matthew 24:24 NIV84).
This prophecy given by Jesus has traditionally been understood through the lens of a religious worldview—the idea that Satan and his agents will one day come as religious icons, as beings to be worshiped, with Satan claiming to be our savior from sin.
But what if Satan, the master deceiver, has another plan? What if Satan’s end-time deception is crafted for the scientific techno-minded?
“Christ” means Messiah or Savior, and “prophet” means spokesperson—someone with a message given to them to share directly from the Messiah. Thus, false “christs” would be false saviors and false “prophets” would be individuals claiming to have messages directly from the Messiah, but the messages are actually from Satan.
In a day and age in which the majority of the world’s population seem to trust science before God or the Bible, is it possible that Jesus’ prophetic warning will manifest in a non-religious way? In a day and age in which science reigns supreme, could Satan and his demonic allies present themselves as intelligent beings from other worlds, as aliens from other planets? Could the Bible be warning us about demons pretending to be extraterrestrials who will appear on the earth claiming be our creators—not in the sense of biblical creation in six days, but claiming to have seeded life on earth millions of years ago—and they have returned to check on us?
How It Could Happen
Just imagine if this were to happen. How many people are ready to embrace alien visitors, beings who reinterpret Bible stories to support their lies. They will reference Elijah’s chariot ride to heaven:
Suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared … and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind (2 Kings 2:11 NIV84).
They will explain that this is simply an ancient person’s best description of a space shuttle launch. After all, they will say, a chariot was the fastest ancient vehicle, so the word “chariot” was chosen to represent a fast-moving vehicle, which spewed flames of fire and billowed smoke in a whirlwind that carried Elijah up into the heavens. The horses of fire would have been the small escort craft that also had flaming exhausts.
They will refer to Ezekiel’s vision in Ezekiel 1 and explain, as Joseph Blumrich does in his book, The Spaceships of Ezekiel, that what the prophet saw was a spaceship.
Some of Satan’s demonic allies will appear as deceased humans—the apostles or other Bible characters and writers. They will claim that at death, their souls, which are the complete datasets that makes up a person’s unique individuality and are analogous to a computer’s software, were transferred to new upgraded bodies at death and that they have been living on another planet, what we call heaven, waiting to return with the Savior.
These “prophets” will refer to the various scriptures that they claim to have written and explain them in ways that support Satan’s grand deception. Deceased loved ones will appear in magnificent health and vitality, sporting the same smile, sounding the same laugh, expressing the same turn of phrase, and offering the knowledge of secret conversations. Some of these demons will fake being departed relatives who had been followers of Christ, but others will be rejectors of Jesus, atheists, worshipers of other gods. Yet all will claim that at death, their souls—software—were transferred to new bodies in heaven. They will claim that the religious instructions of the Bible were merely tools used to help guide primitive humans toward better living, better social life, better hygiene, with enhanced survival and improved development. And, in the end, they will promise that all who unite with them will be “upgraded” and become members of a new galactic society.
Realize that when Satan and his demonic angels present themselves saying “we are not from earth; we are from another far away galaxy,” technically speaking, they would not be lying, for angels are not from earth. They are, in fact, alien beings from another part of God’s universe.
However, they will present themselves as our creators, as having seeded life here eons ago, and are now coming back to check on us. They will tell us they only want our good; they will feign distress at learning of our history of wars, nuclear weapons, diseases, and they will remonstrate us for our exploitation of the planet. They will warn us that we are on a precipice, in danger of imminent global disaster, and that they have returned to save us from ourselves—from global warming, overpopulation, pollution, and life-ending pandemics. They will heal various diseases, promise us a future without sickness, without crime, without poverty or hunger, but they will insist that we recognize them as our progenitors and unite with them.
They may do this by demanding that we submit to them and follow them, or by requiring that we incorporate their technology into our biology. They may present some neural link or other device, or they may present genetic enhancements to “fix” our mutated DNA (if you think this is all just fantasy, see my blog Human 2.0). Perhaps they will bring out “fruit” for us to eat that will have DNA-enhancing properties, and that they will even say that this fruit is “from the Tree of Life.”
Satan’s Goal
Regardless of the specific details in how this deception could unfold, recognize that the ultimate goal of our ancient enemy is to destroy the image of God in people. It is to solidify fear and selfishness, the survival-of-the-fittest drives, into human character. Satan wants to destroy genuine godly love from our hearts and minds, to destroy our individuality, and to take away our liberty and our freedom to think and to act. Thus, all the so-called technological advancements these “alien saviors” would offer us will actually work to interfere with our ability to unite our hearts and minds with our true Creator God, Jesus Christ.
God built us as living sentient beings with brains that operate as quantum processors. We have the ability to be connected with God via quantum linkages, to have our hearts and minds united with Him, operating in harmony with His methods, principles, laws, and character. This the Bible refers to as “having the mind of Christ,” having “the law written on the heart and mind,” being filled with the Holy Spirit, having the heart circumcised by the Spirit, and being recreated in the inner man. Each person decides who to believe, who to trust, who to align themselves with. We can either choose Jesus, our loving Creator, or we can align with the evil one and have our brains permanently entrenched into selfishness, rebellion, and distrust.
Those who believe the lie of these alien pretenders, who participate in the “upgrades” from these extraterrestrials, will unite themselves with them, whether merely through conviction, belief, and dedication, or through technological enhancements in preparing to defend earth from an ancient enemy who is coming to earth to destroy life as we know it and re-terraform the planet. This means that those who don’t want to die must join forces with these so-called alien saviors, who will claim that the earth is theirs, to fight the coming enemy.
We will be told that we will not be prepared to resist the coming invasion if we don’t unite together as one people. We will be told that we must put away all divisions and have a single world leadership. We will be told that we must have a global coalition and that all must agree to follow the lead of our alien saviors. Those who resist must be eliminated, for a divided society will not survive the coming assault.
This coercive behavior and threats of force will be a powerful clue that these beings do not represent Jesus Christ. Of course, the ancient enemy that these aliens are preparing the world to oppose is Jesus returning to raise the saints, transform the righteous, and take the saved to heaven to reign a thousand years.
Thus, when Satan and his evil angels claim that their ancient enemy is coming to destroy the people of earth and re-terraform it, he isn’t wrong about the impending end of his reign of sin. But he does what he always does: He lies. He represents the events exactly backward, claiming that he is our savior and that Jesus is the destroyer. The Bible teaches that the vast majority of the world’s population will believe Satan’s lies and join with him in preparing the weapons and resources of this world to fight against Christ.
So as events continue to unfold beyond sinful humanity’s ability to cope with them, as we hear increasing reports of UFOs, evidence of ancient alien encounters, and then see supernatural events happening—beings clearly not of earth claiming to be from other worlds—don’t be deceived. Recognize what is happening: These are demons; they are not our friends, and anything they offer us will ultimately result in our destruction.
Our hope is always and only in Jesus! We must study the Bible for ourselves and have a personal connection with Jesus via the Holy Spirit. We must have our brains, our quantum processors, tuned to hear “the still small voice” of God. This happens by unplugging from the massive propaganda machine of the modern world. We must stop listening to the lies of the media, stop watching the corruption coming out of Hollywood, and fix our eyes on Christ! It is by beholding Him that we are changed. It is by exercising our God-given ability to reason and think that we develop the ability to discern, to differentiate the true from the false (Hebrews 5:14). It is by living out God’s methods that we mature.
So, think for yourselves, fix your eyes on Christ, and don’t be duped by Satan’s end-time deceptions no matter how they manifest.
Satan’s final end-time deception may or may not be an “alien close encounter” as I’ve speculated here. But the increased interest in UFOs, spurred on by the U.S. government, certainly gives us the opportunity to consider this as a potential avenue of exploitation and deceit. Regardless of whether Satan manifests his plan in this way or not, recognize that our only safety is to think for ourselves, fix our eyes on Christ, understand and practice God’s methods, principles, and design laws in our lives—meaning we present truth in love and leave others free; we do not use governmental powers to coerce others into compliance. As events unfold, don’t be duped by Satan’s end-time deceptions no matter how they manifest.
