The Law of Liberty and Society Today
My first book, Could It Be This Simple? A Biblical Model for Healing the Mind, was published in 2007. In it, I described for the first time the law of liberty, the principle of freedom upon which God created reality to operate. I described how this law is, like gravity, a constant that works whether one believes in it or not and that just like gravity, it is testable – there are reproducible and unavoidable consequences when we violate liberty.

Love, Don’t Hate, the Liars
This morning, I read about Jesus’ trial and crucifixion from the gospel of John and was struck at the poignant lessons that apply to us today. The religious and political leaders conspired for months to mislead the people about Jesus and prepare the nation for the moment they would strike. They had their “media pundits” spread misinformation about the Messiah. They misrepresented His actions as being of the devil (Matthew 12:24).

Tract #2: How To Resolve Guilt
Much like physical pain, God designed the conviction of guilt to alert us to danger and to protect us from injury. If you touch a blazing hot stove and feel pain, the pain is not “bad”—rather, it immediately alerts you that something damaging is happening. The pain is designed to get you to quickly pull away your hand in order to minimize the damage. If you are especially sensitive, you might even feel the heat before you touch the stove and avoid being burned at all.

I have sought to expose how imposed rules (human governments and methods) always seek power over others to coerce and force its way, while God’s kingdom always seeks to heal hearts and minds while leaving people free to choose for themselves.

When Praising Jesus Hinders His Work
We all know that people who reject Christ, who refuse the working of the Holy Spirit in their hearts, will be opposed to God and His kingdom of love. We understand, and even expect, that those who reject truth, reject love, reject righteousness will work against God and His kingdom of love.
