Let’s examine seven of the better things God has promised for us as described in the book of Hebrews.

By putting together the various descriptions from across Scripture (Old Testament, Jesus’ prophecies, Revelation, Paul’s descriptions, etc.), this blog describes what I believe will most likely happen from where we are today until the great white throne judgment and the ultimate end of sin and sinners.

Let’s explore God’s desire to speak with us directly and personally, to remove all barriers between us and Him, and to remove the lies, fear, selfishness, guilt, shame, and distrust, in order to bring us back into at-one-ment with Him.

Do we use the method of biblical evidence (truth) understood by the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit? Or do we determine “truth” by how it feels, waiting for a warm feeling inside or, perhaps, a miracle or sign?

I have read various Bible commentaries that suggest that the experiences of Hosea were to demonstrate what we sinners have done wrong, help us to empathize with how it makes God feel when we are not faithful to Him, and to demonstrate God’s love for us in pursuing us and sacrificing Himself to redeem us. But I think there is a deeper lesson!

If we break His commandments, does God’s law and justice require Him to use His power to inflict punishment, or does transgression of God’s laws naturally cause the harm, pain, suffering, and ultimately death unless healed by God?
