Anyone who reveals God’s character in their life, and who attributes all honor to Jesus as the Son of God, is living in unity, harmony, and loving fellowship with God. And thus we have been genuinely transformed from beings motivated and driven by selfishness to fully healed children of God, motivated and energized by the love God has for us. God is love, and those who live a life of love live in unity and oneness with God—and God with them.

If you have a biblical worldview, then you accept that there are two antagonistic forces at war: God and His kingdom of love, truth, freedom – which is at war with Satan and his kingdom of fear-driven selfishness, deceit, and coercion.

Normally, I leave a blog up at least a week before posting a new blog, but given the intense feedback of the previous blog, Donald Trump and Christians: What’s the Attraction, I thought it might be helpful to go ahead and post this blog now.

I don’t receive snail mail often these days, but I received a letter from longtime listeners to our class that was most kind, but concerned and asking for clarification regarding things I have said in recent months.

In the aftermath of my recent blog,The Flood and the Question of Whether God Kills – Part 1, I received several emails voicing concern, objection, and disagreement. And to those who chose to email me to voice your objections: Thank you!

We have all made bad decisions – the difference between mature, godly people and immature and/or ungodly people is not that the mature never make bad decisions and the immature and/or worldly never make good decisions.

Over this Christmas season, I have enjoyed listening to the holiday songs playing on the radio. As I listened to The First Noel, the phrase “born is the King of Israel” struck me especially. I thought, “Who is a subject of this King? Who is a member of this kingdom? And would members of this kingdom be considered Israelites?”

Some years ago, I heard a sermon by Pastor Manuel Sylva in which he described how all great fiction is merely the retelling of the true story of the battle between Christ and Satan. He offered several examples in which God’s kingdom warring against Satan’s kingdom could be seen copied thematically in print and movies.

Recently, I have received emails from people who are passionate to present God in the most accurate and loving way possible. They have voiced strong objection to my position that God used His power in Old Testament times to put people in the grave for the purpose of keeping open the avenue for the Messiah.

It is Thanksgiving here in the United States of America again, and this affords us the opportunity to reflect on our blessings and give thanks to our Creator God.
