All addictions – whether drug or alcohol related, sexual, or relational – meet the same definition: “the compulsive engagement in behaviors that bring short-term reward but long-term destruction.”

It is beyond human words to describe the infinite sacrifice of Christ for the salvation of humanity. It is beyond human minds to comprehend the loss, the condescension.

In my blog last week, Why Hasn’t Jesus Returned?, we discovered that the Lord is waiting for a people to tell the truth about Him. We discovered that Christianity has been infected with the idea that God’s law functions like human law – rules imposed requiring imposed punishments – replacing the truth that God’s laws are the design protocols upon which the Creator built reality to operate (laws of gravity, physics, health and the moral laws).

Did you grow up in church singing, “Lift up the trumpets and loud let them ring, Jesus is coming again”? Did you grow up with the expectation that Jesus was actually returning soon? As you look around the world and see the conflict, disasters, crime, exploitation, population growth, climate threats, diseases, do you wonder, “What is God waiting for? Why hasn’t Christ returned?”

Over the past several weeks, as the COVID-19 pandemic has swept the world, I have received multiple inquiries regarding how this crisis relates to the end-time events of Revelation.

1. Stay socially connected while socially distancing: While social distancing, which means limiting physical contact with others, is important to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, staying socially connected improves immune function and decreases the risk of being infected.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental-health condition caused by trauma, such as combat, sexual assault, child abuse, terrorism, traffic accidents, or any other event in which one experiences a serious threat to life or limb. This can include being the direct victim of the trauma or being a witness to it.

Given the current COVID-19 pandemic I thought it might be helpful to have a blog on viruses, what are they and where did they come from?

In the beginning, God created sinless perfection. Adam and Eve were created as equals, with neither one to rule over the other, but to live in the perfect harmony of other-centered love.

Anyone who reveals God’s character in their life, and who attributes all honor to Jesus as the Son of God, is living in unity, harmony, and loving fellowship with God. And thus we have been genuinely transformed from beings motivated and driven by selfishness to fully healed children of God, motivated and energized by the love God has for us. God is love, and those who live a life of love live in unity and oneness with God—and God with them.

If you have a biblical worldview, then you accept that there are two antagonistic forces at war: God and His kingdom of love, truth, freedom – which is at war with Satan and his kingdom of fear-driven selfishness, deceit, and coercion.
