God’s Promises and Climate Change Lies – Part 2

God’s Promises and Climate Change Lies – Part 2

Last week we contrasted the promise of God in Genesis 8:22—

As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease (NIV84).

—with the false narrative advanced by the godless climate change fear-mongers. In today’s blog, we will document that the exact opposite is happening on Earth, that rather than increasing carbon dioxide (CO2) causing climate disaster, it is causing a greener, more habitable planet for human thriving.

There are two antagonistic worldviews at war today: the biblical one and the godless one. The godless worldview proposes that there is no God, there is no intelligent design, there is no purpose for humanity, that nature and its laws are supreme, that human beings are merely the most evolved animal in the evolutionary chain, and that our building, developing, and subduing the planet is corrupt, destructive, and ultimately against nature.

One of the most frequent claims the godless make to advance their narrative is that the increasing CO2 in the atmosphere from human use of fossil fuels is causing the climate to change in such a way that it will destroy habitable lands, cause oceans to rise, and make the planet a wasteland. But, in fact, the exact opposite is true.

The Paradise Before the Flood

From a biblical worldview, we understand that when God created the earth, it was a planet teeming with life; there were no polar extremes, no ice caps, no deserts, no extremely high mountains covered in snow, low oxygen, and devoid of life. The entire planet, as God created it, was a garden paradise in which plant and animal life thrived everywhere. The entire globe was rich in living organisms built of carbon and water.

Prior to the Flood, an incalculable amount of carbon was housed in the bodies of both plants and animals, and it was cycled back and forth through the constant exchange of materials, both nutritional and via oxygen/CO2 exchange.

During the Flood, the vast majority of plant and animal life was buried deep in the ground, creating our coal and oil fields. The waters of the deep springs (Genesis 7:11) burst forth, and the water in the plant and animal life was returned to the planet’s water table; this created the oceans and resulted in the formation of the vast frozen polar water (ice) reserves. In other words, a vast amount of carbon was sequestered into oil and coal burial grounds and a vast amount of water was sequestered in the ice fields.

After the Flood, the climate experienced drastic and cataclysmic change. Carbon levels in the atmosphere decreased, and deserts formed because there wasn’t enough water and CO2 in the atmosphere to sustain plant life at the level it could prior to the Flood.

Today’s Real Climate Change

However, as humans have been burning the fossil fuels from coal and oil deposits, we have been returning that missing carbon, the building block for life, back into the ecosystem. As a result, plants have quickly adapted by utilizing this increasing carbon to grow and expand, which is reducing the amount of desert areas (arid, uninhabitable places) in the world.

This is happening for several reasons: First, carbon is necessary for all life, so the increasing carbon is enabling more living organisms to arise and grow. Second, plants breathe CO2 (in fact CO2 generators are sold to help greenhouses improve plant growth); as CO2 levels rise, they are able to breathe in CO2 more easily, without opening their systems (pores, etc.) as wide and, therefore, they are able to retain water and not dehydrate and die. This allows for plants to reclaim arid/desert lands, making the planet greener. This is a combined effect of returning both sequestered carbon and sequestered water into the ecosystem, where it is utilized by plant life to grow and improve the habitability of the planet.

In other words, as we burn fossil fuels, increasing available carbon, the slight increase in temperature is resulting in the reduction of ice reserves, which are also being utilized by the plants to grow and reclaim desert lands—again making the planet greener (Grunzweig, et al., 2003).

Since 1981, deserts on the planet have reduced in number and size, showing that the Earth is indeed becoming ever greener (http://www.co2science.org/subject/d/summaries/desertification.php). Since we have increased CO2 in the atmosphere, we have a greener world, a more habitable planet, exactly the opposite of the godless worldview.

The increase in habitable land has also led to the increase of animal populations. As the carbon increases, plants grow, more water is needed, which is supplied when some of the stored water in polar ice melts; this water enters the atmosphere and is used by the increasing plant life such that the Earth becomes GREENER and more friendly to life. The oceans do not rise, because the water is being used by the increasing plant and animal life.

It is the exact opposite of what the climate change propogandists are saying! Remember, these are godless activists who deny the Bible, the Flood, and Creation, and who believe humans are an evil that is destroying the planet. We must stop believing this false CO2 climate disaster narrative and stand firmly on God’s Word!

Deadly Solutions

Not only is climate change a lie originating from those who reject the Bible, but without Scripture to guide them, advocates are proposing solutions to supposedly “save the planet” that both oppose God’s direction and purpose for human beings and are harmful to human thriving.

God directed humans to “be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground” (Genesis 1:28 NIV84).

God’s purpose for human beings, who are created in His image, is for them to multiply by joining together in holy marriages of one man and one woman and having children—to procreate little people in our image—and raise them to love God and others, teaching them how God’s kingdom works and preparing them to lead and have dominion over the earth.

Having dominion means we are to develop the planet and make it ever more human-friendly, to rule over it in a godly way. We are not to destroy, exploit, or abuse, but we are to develop the planet for the purpose of increasing the human population with people who love God and each other.

But Satan’s narrative is the opposite—it is that humans are a disease, a cancer, a virus, and we are the problem that is destroying the planet and, therefore, humans need to be culled, limited, cut back. While we as Christians are to care for the planet, we ultimately do recognize that this planet is going to be destroyed and replaced by a new earth, the home of the righteous; thus, we value the people more than the planet. But the godless, under Satan’s direction, elevate the planet to a form of nature worship, valuing the planet more than the people. This is a fact to which they openly admit.

In his book The Moral Case for Fossil Fuels, Alex Epstein writes:

Many leading environmental thinkers, including those who predict fossil fuel catastrophe, hold as their standard of value what they call “pristine” nature or wilderness—nature unaltered by man. For example, in a Los Angeles Times review of The End of Nature, McKibben’s influential book of twenty-five years ago predicting catastrophic climate change, David M. Graber, research biologist for the National Park Service, wrote this summary of McKibben’s message:

McKibben is a biocentrist, and so am I. We are not interested in the utility of a particular species or free-flowing river, or ecosystem, to mankind. They have intrinsic value, more value—to me—than another human body, or a billion of them. Human happiness, and certainly human fecundity [fertility/fruitfulness], are not as important as a wild and healthy planet. I know social scientists who remind me that people are part of nature, but it isn’t true. Somewhere along the line—at about a billion [sic] years ago, maybe half that—we quit the contract and became a cancer. We have become a plague upon ourselves and upon the Earth. It is cosmically unlikely that the developed world will choose to end its orgy of fossil-energy consumption, and the Third World its suicidal consumption of landscape. Until such time as Homo sapiens should decide to rejoin nature, some of us can only hope for the right virus to come along.

In his book, McKibben wrote that our goal should be a “humbler world,” one where we have less impact on our environment and “Human happiness would be of secondary importance.” What is of primary importance? Minimizing our impact on our environment. McKibben explains: “Though not in our time, and not in the time of our children, or their children, if we now, today, limited our numbers and our desires and our ambitions, perhaps nature could someday resume its independent working.” This implies that there should be fewer people, with fewer desires, and fewer ambitions. This is the exact opposite of holding human life as one’s standard of value. It is holding human nonimpact as one’s standard of value, without regard for human life and happiness.

There is a real difference between the biblical worldview and the godless worldview. The current worldwide green movement is a godless, anti-Christian, anti-biblical, and false narrative that is part of Satan’s end-time deception to trick good people into participating in their own destruction—and as everything else that Satan manufactures, it is based on lies and misdirection.

The Bible foretells that prior to Christ’s return, there will be various climate problems—but they are not a result of humanity’s development of the planet. They come from humanity’s rejection of God. As billions around the globe harden their hearts into godlessness, God respects their choice and withdraws His protective and sustaining power. Satan gains more freedom to act, and he actively causes all kinds of environmental and climate catastrophes—earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones, and more. The Bible describes it this way:

After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea: “Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God” (Revelation 7:1–3 NIV84).

Notice—the angels harm by letting loose the satanic agencies that they had been restraining. As the world becomes more godless, as hearts harden and love grows cold, God’s presence will be withdrawn and satanic agencies will cause more and more various natural disasters. These events will be touted as evidence of Satan’s false climate change narrative.

So when you see various natural disasters occurring, don’t buy into the false narrative that human activity is causing climate change; instead, remember God’s promise that “as long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease” and recognize that the disasters are evidence of  God withdrawing His protective power, which leads to an increase in demonic activity.

This will all be confirmed by the methods used by the so-called “climate saviors” to bring salvation to the world—coercion, threats, fear-mongering, restricted travel, loss of liberties, etc. You will know them by their fruits!

God’s people use His methods of truth, love, freedom in exercising godly dominion to care for His creation—to make the planet more human friendly so that the gospel can spread, so that we can minister God’s love to others, so the people can thrive.

Testimony 20

I just wanted to personally thank you for your teachings and insight into scripture. I came across your website via my cousin who suggested I look into “Healing the Mind” information. My youngest daughter has been struggling over the last couple of years and it all came to a head this spring. When I started listening to the “Healing the Mind” lectures my own life began to be transformed. I began sharing with all my daughters the concepts you laid out so clearly. I ordered your book and soaked it up. I just want to say “Thank You!” My walk with the Lord has been refreshed and renewed. Your obedience to the Lord is a blessing to so many.

R. K., Anderson, SC, USA

Testimony 22

I have found your Bible study class lectures to be very inspiring and useful as I prepare to teach class every other week. I subscribe to the podcast and download your notes on the weeks I teach. The audio and notes are such a great help in preparing. My own understanding of God’s character has grown as I teach the class. Commendations on the thought-provoking and well-prepared material Come and Reason provides. Personally, I get excited by the tie you make between the spiritual and mental/physical domains.

A.A. Corrales, NM, USA

Testimony 2

I continue to enjoy your lessons every week. The more that I research your conclusions, the more I am convinced that the Holy Spirit has lead you to distill out the essence of human redemption. Thank you for your courageous stand for the truth.

Testimony 28

I have been following your Bible study class for about a year now. I must say I am impressed with how your ministry has grown. I took it upon myself to listen to all your lesson podcasts from the past and they have both enriched me physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I have learnt a lot from this class. I have also noticed how the class has grown in spiritual strength. One of the things that benefited me is that now I am not afraid of God. I use to be, but now it has melted away. The second thing is that you helped me to have a real life relationship with God. Now He is my friend that was always there and I love having him with me all the time. Thirdly, because of this class, it inspired me to take over and lead a class. I have called it “Let Us Reason Together,” adapting your inquisitive style and creating a class of free thinkers.

Testimony 37

Hearing Dr. Jennings’ presentations in person came at a pivotal moment in my spiritual journey that began about nine months ago, when the fault lines inherent in my belief system began to crack under questions that most reasonable people end up asking about God and His nature. These were questions I couldn’t find answers to, and they shook my faith. I was unable let it go any longer and be satisfied. My Christian experience became distant. I was afraid; the fear in me rose like thorns, pushing me away from Jesus. And then someone heard my questions and introduced me to this ministry, and my life has totally changed.

I can tell you that this new, “present truth” message is far grander and life-changing than when I shifted from being an agnostic and then a nominal Christian. It has radically altered my worldview, because it reveals a God that makes sense. It is a revolution. I believe that Dr. Jennings’ message is the final message that must go to the world. If any message could be called “righteousness by faith,” as abused as that term is by the right and the left, this is that message, because Jennings’ biblical message identifies a God who is different, whose character isn’t an impossible contradiction.

I walk this path now without fear. I see people differently, and the Holy Spirit burns in my heart. Many call Dr. Jennings’ message false and compromising, but it isn’t false, because I’ve seen the fruits within my mind and body. It is not compromising, because in this message is the only road to holiness that makes any sense. No longer do I behold a pagan god who is always angry and suspicious. Instead, I behold a God who is freeing and loving, always working for our good, and giving me every reason to love my enemy even to my own death, just as Jesus pleads with us. God is good.

Testimony 68

Your message of design law vs imperial law is so uplifting and makes so much sense- it is a game changer for me. The fact that Jesus’s death is not a big payment by an angry God is , quite frankly, a relief.

Testimony 45

I have been confused for years about what [christianity] calls [its] most disgusting teaching. It has never made much sense to me and for that reason has been evermore empty. I have listened to your class off and on and have struggled determining what is truth, because of the resistance design law encounters in the church. So, I thank God for your ministry. What you teach makes sense. It’s logical and backed up by the power of love. I have never seen that in Christ until now. I am astounded by the insight that is found when we look at God’s ministry through design law. All strength to this message, as I believe it to be the power of God.

Testimony 26

Your teachings about our heavenly Father have changed my life. Thank you sooooooo very very much! I know He’s doing some serious healing in my heart and life and I look forward to each new day to learn something new about Him and to just hear you speak about Him. Thank you, forever.

Testimony 43

Two years ago I stumbled upon your book, “Could It Be This Simple,” and then found “The God-Shaped Brain” videos on YouTube, your bible study class, and the ‘Come And Reason’ mobile app. I shared your book with a friend and after nine months of showing love, patience, and kindness this person has been changed by the love of God, too. The same love that healed me, I now express to other women in tangible ways, such as to a Baptist woman with high anxiety and childhood trauma. She was extremely happy and relieved when I shared about the so-called “judgment of God” and burning in hell. She had no desire to serve a God that was so harsh. I have repeated the phrase dozens of times to her. “What we believe has power over us, but we have power over what we believe…”

This message that you are sharing has changed my life. I will continue to serve other women and bring this message of God’s healing love to their lives by sharing your books, YouTube videos, and The Remedy Bible app. Keep up the good work. Don’t be discouraged. God is doing a mighty work in and through this ministry!

Jill L., Midwest, USA

Testimony 48

I just want to tell you how blessed I have been reading “The Remedy!” It has become a daily part of my devotional relationship with God. In it I have found a God of love and a God that loves me! The bible has come alive for me! It is the first time that I can say that I have felt hope fill my heart as I have read God’s word. This is good news I can share! Thank you, Dr Jennings! Thank you for your heart for others. I can’t put into words how this has set me free! It has strengthened my trust and love for God.

Testimony 50

After coming into contact with Come And Reason Ministries, I can finally say that many of my unanswered questions have fallen into place. I discovered that my view of God’s Law was “imposed laws and rules” with “imposed punishments” and that this was the major culprit of my many unanswered questions. Thanks be to God for using you and those around you to help us who have struggled with this “infection” of thought. I have now rejected the “imposed law” concept to fully embrace “Design Law”… to look thru “Design Law,” instead of “imposed law,” is a relief.

Viliami L., Australia

Testimony 70

I have been watching you for many years and have learned to love God with all my heart. I was raised by a loving Christian mother that had been lied to about who God really was, so our religious upbringing was hell fire and damnation. As soon as I was old enough and moved out, I not only left the church, I ran as fast as I could to get away from it. Sad to say, it wasn’t until the past couple of years that I learned and understand who my Father really is and how much He loves me. I understand God’s Design Laws (which make sense) and when I’m teaching my church Bible study class, I’m able to really put to use the things I’ve been learning and Holy Spirit is leading. Thank you for introducing me to my Father of true, pure love. Everyday with Him is new and exciting. One thing that breaks my heart is that I didn’t know Him sooner. God Bless you and your ministry!

Judy Phelps, Reno, NV, USA

Testimony 63

I’ve been very blessed by “The God Shaped Brain” and this ministry, through video and podcast, over the last few years. It’s truly opened up my eyes more to the truth about God and the importance of that truth in the present world. The message is so inviting, freeing and enlightening and MORE people need to know about it. I believe it is the last message that can truly, not only prepare a people for salvation and translation, but vindicate the character of God.

Michael V., Yonkers, NY, USA

Testimony 1

Thank you! I love listening to the Come And Reason Ministries Bible study classes and am using some of your notes to get the lessons together that I will be teaching. You always have such good quotes and Bible texts and pull things together to make good sense.

T. C., IN, USA

Testimony 29

Thank you for all of your work to correct misconceptions about God’s character. So many people that my husband and I have talked to seem to be against the natural law construct and view it as “errant” and “dangerous.” Having learned more about it through your blogs and lessons, I don’t really understand why they view it that way, except that it means they have to relearn theology they have known for their entire lives. But I’m so excited to relearn this. For the past few years I have been questioning how I could trust a God who punishes arbitrarily and is full of wrath for those who don’t obey His commands. That view made me afraid to “mess up” or “not be good enough,” even within my relationship with God. I really appreciated the point you bring out about God not wanting us to serve Him because we are afraid, but because we love Him.

Melissa H., IN, USA
