Psalms ◦ Chapter 145
1I will exalt you, my Creator God and Sovereign King;
I will praise your character of love for ever and ever.2I will praise you every day
and exalt your character of love for ever and ever.3The greatness of the Lord is to be glorified;
his greatness is infinite — no one can plumb its depths. 4Generation after generation will glory in what you have done;
they will tell of your power — the power of truth and love — 5the glorious outflow of your majestic character of love.
Upon the wonderful manifestations of your methods I will meditate;6the mighty power of your infinite character of love I will revere,
and I will proclaim your greatness. 7Remembrance of your great goodness will produce an overflow
of joyful celebration of your character of love. 8The Lord is gracious and compassionate, seeking to heal all;
so rich in love, he is reluctant to let anyone go. 9The Lord is good to all;
he pours compassion on his entire creation. 10All your works glorify you, O Lord;
your friends honor and extol you. 11They will tell of the glory of your kingdom of love
and speak of your power — the power of infinite truth and love — 12so that all people may know the power of your glorious presence
and the beauty of your kingdom of love. 13Your governance is eternal — an everlasting kingdom upon which life is built;
your dominion sustains life through all generations.
[The Lord’s word is always reliable;
his actions are always an expression of his character of love.] 14The Lord sustains those who fall
and restores all those who humbly acknowledge their need. 15Everyone considers you;
you are the giver of food in due season.16You open your hand, giving freedom
for every living thing to fulfill their desires. 17The Lord is righteous in all his ways;
the outworking of love in all he does. 18The Lord enters into the closest intimacy with those who call on him,
to all who call on him with hearts that love truth.19The Lord provides the desired remedy to all who trust and revere him;
he gladly responds to their cry for help and heals them.20The Lord saves all who love him,
but all those hardened in selfishness will perish. 21I will praise the Lord forever.
Let every living being praise his perfect character of love
for ever and ever.
