1Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good.
His love gives life forever.

3Give thanks to the Lord of lords:

4to him who alone built the universe from nothing;
His love gives life forever.

5to him who alone had the wisdom to make the heavens;
His love gives life forever.

6to him who brought forth land from the deep waters;
His love gives life forever.

7to him who created the great lights —
His love gives life forever.

8the sun to rule the day,
His love gives life forever.

9the moon and stars to rule the night;
His love gives life forever.

10to him who defeated the power of Egypt through their firstborn
His love gives life forever.

11and brought Israel out from among them
His love gives life forever.

12with a mighty display of power and protective hand;
His love gives life forever.

13to him who parted the Red Sea
His love gives life forever.

14and led Israel safely through it
His love gives life forever.

15but swept Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea;
His love gives life forever.

16to him who led his people through the wilderness,
His love gives life forever.

17who defeated great kings

18and destroyed the pomp and might of those worldly kings —

19Sihon king of the Amorites

20and Og king of Bashan —

21and gave their land to others to possess

22(to Israel, his spiritual health-care team);

23to the One who remembered us when we were helpless

24and freed us from our enemies,
