Psalms ◦ Chapter 121

1I see the high places of pagan worship all around me,
but where does my help come from?

2My help comes from the Lord —
the Creator of heaven and earth.

3He will not allow your steps for him to be overthrown —
he who guards you will never tire or fall asleep.

4Indeed, he who guards all those, who with God, overcome,
will never get tired nor sleep.

5The Lord preserves you —
the Lord stands beside you, protecting your soul from corruption,

6protecting you from harm during the sunlight of day
or the moonlight of night.

7The Lord will keep your character pure from all evil;
he will keep guard over your life.

8The Lord will watch over all you do,
both now and forevermore.
